La Municipalité de Racine vous invite à sa distribution d’arbres gratuits, ce samedi 16 mai, de 9h00 à midi, dans le stationnement avant du bureau municipal, situé au 145, chemin du Grand-Brompton, à Racine.
La distribution fonctionnera sur le principe du Premier arrivé, premier servi! Aucune inscription et réservation. Une variété d’arbres, feuillus et conifères, seront mis à votre disposition. Le nombre est à confirmer.
Chaque année le ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec, en collaboration avec l’Association forestière du sud du Québec, offre des arbres gratuitement aux écoles, aux municipalités et aux organismes qui font la demande pour leurs activités.
Les objectifs sont de sensibiliser la population à l’importance et au respect de l’arbre et des forêts, de permettre à la population d’acquérir des connaissances sur l’arbre et les soins nécessaires ainsi qu’à poser des gestes concrets de conservation et améliorer son environnement.
